Year 3
By year 3 children need to be looking at advertising and discussing both images and text. They could design their own advert for school and change the caption to change the perecption of the image. They could also take photographs of each other and compare colour and black and white copies of the same image.
By year 3, children can begin to design web pages and present a topic they are studying in a non-linear way. They could design a home page with a table of contents and use both images and text to convey information. This also is a great opportunitiy to develop group work and discuss editorial decisions. At the end of the project, children can discuss their presentations and begin to critically evaluate their designs.
Continue with stop frame animation projects and sound recording.
